Dear Blog,
Yes, I know. I skipped one day again! Oh well, no worries because today I want to document the steps to make a dishcloth on a hobby knitting machine. I go through dishcloths so fast is not even funny, hence I decided to put my addiction to work for me.
This is my first dishcloth, it was fun and also super easy to make. Without further adieu, I proceed to explain the steps.
Materials:
Hobby knitter (knitting machine) 9 mm gauge. In this case, I used a Brother KX-400 Convertible, plastic bed.
3 balls of Lily Sugar and Cream yarn, calico, 2oz/56.7g, 95yds/86m, 4 ply.
Crochet hook F/5-3.75mm
Tapestry needle
Gauge:
16 sts and 26 rows = 4″
TD: (Tension Dial) 6
Use crochet cast on method:
CO 39 sts
Knit until piece measures 20 ” or desired length. Weave in ends and block by steaming the piece until flat.
Work hdc around the edge and hdc, ch 1, hdc on each corner. Cut yarn, weave in ends and block again.
Crochet 14 chains, cut yarn and weave in ends.
Fold dishcloth in half and attach the 14 st chain forming a loop to hang.
Mission accomplished! 😉
