Yarn Addiction

Dear Blog,

I’ve gone and done it this time! I went on a yarn shopping spree. When I was visiting one of my favorite thrift stores in the next town over (did I mention that I love antiques?) I found a guy whose job is to deliver cones of yarns to local yarn stores in bulk. He usually ends up with a lot of leftover yarn so decided to sell it to whoever happened to stop by.

I couldn’t believe my luck, I finally found how to fuel my yarn addiction. However, the guy told me he was retiring and moving to Florida by the end of the month. Noooo! That didn’t leave me much time to shop. Since I am between jobs, no seriously, I work on assignments; I am a bookkeeper, I decided to go on a Thursday. Unfortunately, it snowed on Thursday so I couldn’t go. It snowed in freaking April, great! So, I woke up early on Friday, and without even breaking my fast, headed out to buy me some yarn. I ended up buying not some, but a lot. I couldn’t buy more because I couldn’t carry it all to my car, and I didn’t have more money either.

The problem is that I live in a condo and between my knitting machines and books, there’s no room for anything else (did I mention shoes too?). I have to come up with a solution because my husband is about to kick me out of the house and my cats are having a party chewing on the loose ends of the yarns, which can’t be good for them.

Hopefully, when I write the next entry, I will have a solution to my dilemma. KNIT ON!
